A vintage hand-cranked butter churn by Blow of England, with the maker's script logo and BRITISH REGD. embossed on the gear housing. The heavy panelled glass jar is topped with a screw-on metal lid, a cast aluminium frame, a deep blue enamelled gear cover, and a crank handle with a matching blue grip. The original wooden paddles turn inside the jar.

Blow churns were made in England around the 1940s and turned up in farm and household kitchens across the Commonwealth. Examples are held in museum collections in Australia and New Zealand. This one is in full working order, so it's ready to churn butter or to stand as a striking display piece in a farmhouse or vintage kitchen.

Height: 38cm
Condition: Very good vintage condition and in perfect working order. The crank turns the paddles smoothly. The lid shows light age patina consistent with its years.
