Atomica Vintage is based in Klerksdorp, North West — and because we sell one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, we ship a little differently than a typical online store.
How delivery works
Furniture, lighting, and larger decor items are shipped using specialist furniture couriers rather than standard parcel services. These couriers use shared-load trucks already travelling common routes (like Johannesburg and Cape Town), which keeps costs down but means dispatch is typically weekly rather than instant. We'll always confirm an estimated dispatch window with you after you order.
Smaller items (ceramics, small decor, some wall art) may ship via standard courier and move faster.
Delivery rates
Shipping is calculated by region at checkout:
- North West (local) — R450
- Gauteng — R650
- Rest of South Africa (Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape) — R950
- Western Cape — R1,800
These rates reflect real courier costs for shipping furniture-sized items over long distances — they are not inflated for profit.
Local pickup
If you're in or near Klerksdorp, you're welcome to collect your piece directly from us — get in touch after ordering to arrange a time. Many of our customers enjoy making the trip part of the experience.
Packaging & condition
Vintage furniture is wrapped and padded with care by our courier partners, but as with any pre-loved piece, please inspect your delivery on arrival. If anything arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos and we'll sort it out with you.

You'll receive tracking information once your order ships. If your delivery window has passed or you have any concerns, reach out — we're a small team and we care about every piece reaching you safely.
